We Cannot Stop

Jun 21, 2026    Rev. Brian Litch

Last week we left Peter mid-sentence — arrested while the Spirit was moving, while people were responding. This Sunday we find out what happens next.

Peter and John are taken before the most powerful religious court in Jerusalem — the very men who handed Jesus over to be crucified — and ordered to explain themselves. What follows is one of the boldest moments in the entire New Testament. The same man who once couldn't admit he knew Jesus now stands in front of his accusers and says there is no other name by which anyone can be saved.

They're threatened. They're told to stop. And their response becomes the heartbeat of the Church for the next two thousand years — all the way to our church, this Sunday, with you in it.

If you've ever wondered what it means to actually live like you've been with Jesus, this is a Sunday worth being here for. See you then!
