Before God gives his people a breakthrough, He always seems to make them wait.  To us, waiting seems like wasted time.  But God has a purpose in waiting, and the story of Joshua leading God’s people into the Promised Land helps us to see that purpose.  Before they cross over, they must first consecrate.  Why?  Because the same enemies and problems are on the other side of the river.  Which means that for us, becoming the right person is more important than being in the right place.
