We've been walking through the ancient list of evil thoughts that try to pull us away from God, and this week Pastor Brian takes on one every single one of us knows personally: sadness.

Using Jesus's night in the Garden of Gethsemane, we'll watch the same grief lead two completely different places, depending on what happens in the first few moments after it shows up. Jesus brings his sorrow straight to the Father. His closest friends, carrying that same weight, fall asleep instead.

This isn't a sermon about whether you'll feel sad — you will, and that’s not a faith failure. It's about where you take it when you do.
