Roots Down Deep

Where are your roots? In a town? In a job? What keeps you standing strong when the winds of opposition blow against you? Paul reminds Timothy that in order to withstand opposition, his roots must be down deep in the example of those who discipled him and in the Scriptures. If he does that, he’ll be like a tree planted by streams of living water, anchored in the community of truth against any storm.
